Let’s go
The London Film School is internationally renowned for offering high-standard courses for aspiring filmmakers.
One of the students’ early assignments focuses on discipline in time and shot management. They are tasked with producing a three-minute silent black-and-white film — with no dialogue, sound, or music. The story must be told entirely through visuals and filmed over two days.
To make the challenge even greater, the footage is shot on 16mm film, and with only nine minutes of film stock, there is no room for multiple takes or complicated or lengthy setups.
I really enjoy helping and collaborating with students. They are the filmmakers of the future, and there is clearly a huge amount of talent out there.
