Footless Men

This black comedy/horror film was the pilot for a feature film. It was shown at various festivals including The Cannes Film Festival and has a ’10 rating’ on IMdB.

John and his wife Caroline have been invited around for dinner by neighbours Sandra and Derek.

However, John doesn’t get to stay around long enough to enjoy the ‘After Eights’!

“Thank you for a wonderful job!!! I would like to summarise all of you in three words: professionalism, passion and desire.”
— Kim Pettersson, Director - 'Footless Men'

Falter

In this chilling short film, Ian played a rather creepy character called Vern, who stopped to help a stranded motorist.

She becomes disturbed by the plaintive look on the face of the boy sitting alongside Vern in the front seat.

What is really going on? Here’s an excerpt.

Saudi Sammies

A pair of workers get into a heated exchange over their lunch time sandwiches!

The patience of the owner is stretched to the limit, as Dave insists he gets a sub (with all the trimmings) at no extra cost!

Barry gives up on him and goes off to eat the sandwich his wife has made!

“Ian was fantastic to collaborate with on Saudi Sammies. We came away with a short we were all proud to share!”
— Jonty Eggington, Director/Producer 'Saudi Sammies'

Derren Brown
Hero at 30,000 feet

Unaware he was part of a major hidden-camera experiment, Matt Galley was guided through a series of dramatic life lessons before facing a split-second challenge: taking control of a passenger aircraft at thirty thousand feet.

“It was fascinating watching this ambitious piece of TV take shape,” says Ian. “We rehearsed in London to prepare for every scenario, then took off in a specially chartered aircraft from Leeds Bradford Airport, where the drama unfolded…”

Crimewatch

Ian is often asked to name his most memorable job, and this Crimewatch reconstruction is certainly up there.

He played Peter Bourner, whose son Mo had been savagely beaten in an unprovoked attack and left with life-changing injuries.

During the programme, several callers identified the culprit, who was later charged and sentenced to six years in prison.
