You Me Bum Bum Train

Actor Ian Prosser on stage in a performance of You Me Bum Bum Train wearing a pink shirt and tie speaking at a podium with flowers in front, in a room with a ceiling light and wall decorations.

Imagine giving a rousing speech to a team of burly American Footballers, then suddenly becoming a Minister fielding tough questions from journalists. Anything can happen in the surreal world of You Me Bum Bum Train.

Elaborate sets fill a series of rooms, and each audience member-never knowing what comes next-is invited into each setting to interact with the actors waiting behind the doors.

Ian played a Preacher in his own Church in this award-winning Barbican Bite production, before inviting attendees to deliver their own sermon to an attentive congregation.

Though semi-scripted, the role relied heavily on improvisation -reacting to and engaging with whatever unfolded next.

“You have been a total pleasure. It’s great not to have to worry about a lead role being filled by someone capable and talented.”
— Morgan Lloyd - Director of 'You Me Bum Bum Train'
“I cannot recommend this brilliant and unique event too highly.”

What’s On Stage

Beautiful -
The Carole King Musical

Ian played Carole’s manager, Donny Kirshner, in this hit-filled jukebox musical.

Donny remains a constant presence, guiding her from a gauche teenager into one of the world’s most successful and celebrated singer-songwriters.

The show played to packed houses and won standing ovations every night!

“Ian gave us a really strong performance. The show deserved the standing ovations.

We’re so lucky to have Broadway theatre on our doorstep without having to fork out the airfare to JFK!”
— Clive Weatherly - Welwyn & Hatfield Times
“I can’t get over how brilliant this show was. I wish I could come again!”

“Wow! What an amazing show. The talent of the cast was brilliant!”

“Phenomenal show. I bloody loved it!”

“I’m so very pleased that you captured perfectly the easy style that was required to best play Donny and no question you’ve not lost your touch when landing the laughs.”
— John Hebden, Director ‘Beautiful - The Carole King musical’

The Honeymoon

This comedy farce was staged at the Market Theatre in Hitchin. One night during the three-week run, a door handle on stage broke!

There was no option but to improvise, fix it, and work it into the show -otherwise there was no way to exit the stage!

Other stage roles
