The Scam

The Scam is a tense short drama about financial vulnerability and deception. It was written and directed by Martin Butler whose father was the victim of scammers. The story centres on Peter (Greame Culliton), a retired man facing the possible loss of his home. He is drawn into a seemingly lucrative investment opportunity promising high returns and minimal risk.

I played John a very smooth-talking and persuasive salesman. Peter comes close to transferring a large sum of money, until a sudden internet outage stops him at the last moment. He soon discovers the investment is a scam, narrowly avoiding financial ruin.
