Known for his larger-than-life personality, epic takeaway orders and trademark catchphrase, “Bosh!”, Big John Fisher was the perfect choice to front this World Cup campaign for Tesco Whoosh, Tesco's rapid delivery service that can bring groceries to your door in as little as 20 minutes.
I appeared alongside John as one of the guests at a World Cup watch party. As more and more unexpected visitors arrived, supplies quickly began to run low, forcing John to rely on Whoosh to keep the food and drinks flowing.
The campaign also featured a comedy penalty shoot-out sketch. With his grocery orders written on the side of his water bottle - much like a goalkeeper's notes on penalty takers - John prepared for the big moment as the commentator delivered the perfect punchline:
"Can he deliver?"
