‘Heist: Robbing the Bank of England’

Marcel Theroux wrote and presented this fascinating story of one of the biggest bank robberies you’ve probably never heard of!

Before the internet, government bonds worth millions were carried between banks by couriers.

Ian played John Goddard who in May 1990 was robbed at knifepoint, and bonds worth £292 million were stolen. He also portrayed three other characters across this 2-part series on the Crime and Investigation Channel.

The reconstruction scenes were filmed at an old RAF base in Norfolk and were cleverly blended with archive and contemporary footage to tell a story of villains, avarice, and greed.
